Research project LHYVE-Cycle: Repair concept for hydrogen-carrying systems for commercial vehicle drives
With the LHYVE-Cycle project, we are embarking on a new phase in hydrogen technology together with BHFM Technologies GmbH and the Center for Fuel Cell Technology (ZBT). The goal is to develop an AI-supported maintenance and repair concept for hydrogen-carrying systems in commercial vehicle powertrains.
Through digital models and innovative testing methods, we are creating the foundation for the safe, efficient, and resource-conserving commissioning and decommissioning of hydrogen applications. This increases availability, lifespan and cost-effectiveness – a key step for zero-emission vehicles and industrial applications.
The project is funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia as part of the ERDF.NRW program (2021–2027) and co-financed by the European Union. LHYVE-Cycle thus makes a significant contribution to the green transformation and strengthens North Rhine-Westphalia as a hub for innovation.
